HexCrest Adventure: 30 islands, five realms and five kings

By the HexCrest team · Updated

Short answer: Adventure has 30 islands across five realms: Green Coast, Wildlands, Frost Peaks, Sunken Isles and Crown Wars. Each island awards one to three stars for reaching land targets. Earn one star to open the next island, and 12 stars in a realm to open the next realm. The sixth island of each realm is a boss.

Adventure is HexCrest’s campaign: 30 hand-tuned islands that get harder as you go.

The five realms

  1. Green Coast: the gentle start.
  2. Wildlands
  3. Frost Peaks
  4. Sunken Isles
  5. Crown Wars: the finale.

Each realm has six islands. Islands add their own twists: extra rivers, forests or mountains, faster movement, rivals with towers, or night.

Stars

Each island gives one, two or three stars for reaching peak-land targets. The first island, Green Cove, asks for 6%, 12% and 20%. The final island asks for 3%, 5% and 9%, because it is far more crowded.

Unlocking

  • One star on an island opens the next island.
  • 12 stars in a realm opens the next realm.

Boss islands

The sixth island of every realm is a boss: a rival king who starts with a bigger patch of land. Kings are big targets, so this is where razing a castle pays off most. The last island, Crown of Kings, has three at once.

Tips

  • Replay early islands for three stars; they’re quick, and stars open realms.
  • Read each island’s twist before you start and plan around the terrain.
  • Adventure rounds run from two minutes to a little over three, so pace your big captures.
